Transporting it

I’m not talking about how fast the scooter will move. Instead, I’m talking about how quickly you can fold it. Follow these steps:

- Press the metal pedal
Bam. It’s folded and ready to go. It takes a few seconds. Unfolding it takes about the same time. Pull the handlebars, and you’re done, which means that the Glion Dolly scooter is perfect for those using their scooter and getting off it regularly.
Many people who have used this scooter often use it to get between buses and trains for their daily commute.
Easy to store
The Glion Dolly may look big and bulky but surprisingly easy to store.

The Glion Dolly scooter loses stability when you move it over bumps by itself. Not so much when you’re driving it, but when you’re pulling it through the streets.
Pull it over a bump, and it will sway a little. You might even lose control of it. That’s because the Glion Dolly has relatively small wheels.
Yes, that’s to help you store it, but it would have been much more stable if the company had added an inch or two to the dimensions of each wheel, although I don’t doubt that would have hindered its storage potential.
Quality brakes
Glion Dolly electric scooter uses a rear brake. Most of the time, it is also of high quality. If you ride it in any weather, you can expect the scooter to slow you down.
I have never heard of a case where the brakes on this scooter failed, although I have heard of cases where the brakes failed on other scooters on the market.
However, you should know that having a brake on the back of the scooter has problems. Perhaps the biggest is that it slows down the speed you can slow down.
Granted, the Glion Dolly is not a particularly fast scooter (more on that in a moment), but if you are in an emergency, you still want to be able to slow it down quickly.
I imagine this can be a problem for people who have to weave their scooters through crowded areas. This scooter is acceptable for nice stretches of road where you won’t need to stop in a hurry.
What would have been nice is to add an emergency brake to the scooter, which may be something that you will consider in the future.
Perfect for most conditions
The wheels on the Glion Dolly were designed for flat surfaces only. You could go up small hills, but you’ll probably push the Glion Dolly to its limit if the slope is too steep.
It’s not the fastest scooter at the best of times. It will be even slower to climb steep hills.
However, it does work well in rainy conditions. As I said before, the brakes don’t give up in the conditions you throw at them, even when it’s raining heavily outside.
The fenders of the scooter will hardly lift any water, which is nice.
Far too many electric scooters on the market got me wet.
Top speed
The top speed of this Glion Dolly electric scooter is only 15 miles per hour, which is much slower than other electric scooters on the market.
Most people who use a scooter like this don’t hit top speed anyway.
Unlike cyclists, you won’t be able to ride on the road, so pedestrians will constantly be in your way.
You’ll probably travel slightly faster than the walking pace. Therefore, I don’t think the slower top speed of other scooters is a significant issue.
Remember that the scooter only has a 250w motor, so you won’t be able to push it too far before losing some of its power, especially when climbing hills.
If you’re going to be climbing hills quite often, you’ll probably be looking for something with a 500w motor.
These motors are much more expensive than the Glion Dolly electric scooter, so you must evaluate whether they’re worth it.
Average distance traveled
You’ll be able to travel 15 miles before charging the Glion Dolly electric scooter, which is probably the average for this type of scooter.
You must remember that it’s slightly heavier than some other scooters on the market, and the scooter has to handle your weight and weight.
I can’t imagine this will be an excellent electric scooter covering enormous distances daily. It’s more for getting from one public transportation to another or just a short ride to work.
Even when you’re at work, you’ll probably want to charge it up, even if the commute is less than 15 miles. The scooter tends to lose power once the battery starts to drain slowly.
Other scooters will give it their all until the end, but there is a noticeable decrease in the power output when the battery starts to run down.
Also, the battery indicator on the scooter isn’t the most accurate in the world, so if it says the battery is half-full, try to fully charge it anyway if you plan to be out for long periods.
Fortunately, it doesn’t take long to charge, so don’t worry about that. It’ll take a few hours, perfect for staying charged while working.
What about suspension?
There is no suspension, so it’s not ideal for moving on anything other than flat surfaces and only for climbing small hills.
The small wheels of the scooter make you realize that there is no proper suspension either. You can feel every bump you hit.
However, I imagine that most people who use this scooter will do so on flat surfaces in the middle of a city or town so that it won’t be that much of a problem.
Weight
The Glion Dolly weighs a reasonably hefty 28 pounds. However, it is far from being one of the heaviest electric scooters.
When you’re riding the scooter, the weight will add a touch of stability to it. However, the lack of suspension nips this effect in the bud a bit.
When you carry the scooter, you almost don’t feel like you’re carrying 28 pounds, simply because it’s so well balanced.
I’m not going to go so far as to say that the scooter is “light as a feather,” but it is very comfortable to carry, and I don’t think many people will have problems with it.
You feel like the electric scooter is heavy when riding it behind you.
I do not doubt that if you pull it behind you, you’re going to be doing it one-handed, and it’s going to feel like you’re pulling something heavy, which can be hard to control.
If you’re going through a busy area, you should choose to carry it instead. It’s just a little too hard to weave something bulky around people.
Who is it for?
The Glion Dolly is primarily designed for commuters. There are much faster electric scooters on the market than this one.
However, when it comes to ease of transportation when you’re not driving it, you’ll be hard-pressed to find anything even remotely close to what the Glion Dolly can offer.
